Hovhannes Varderesyan

Hovhannes Varderesyan (Armenian: Հովհաննես Վարդերեսյան, born February 12, 1989 in Yerevan, Armenian SSR) is an Armenian Greco-Roman wrestler.

Varderesyan was a member of the Armenian Greco-Roman wrestling team at the 2010 FILA Wrestling World Cup.[1] The Armenian team came in third place.[2]

He competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in the men's Greco-Roman 66 kg division.[3] Varderesyan was defeated by eventual gold medalist Kim Hyeon-Woo. While at London, basketball player Kobe Bryant posted a picture on his Facebook wall of Varderesyan and Anthony Davis.[4]
