Hosabettu is a census town in Dakshina Kannada District in the Indian state of Karnataka. It is located near Moodbidri coming within limits Karnataka state.
Demographics
As of 2001 India census,[1] Hosabettu had a population of 5916. Males constitute 49% of the population and females 51%. Hosabettu has an average literacy rate of 74%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 78%, and female literacy is 70%. In Hosabettu, 13% of the population is under 6 years of age. Languages are primarily Tulu, Konkani and Kannada.
