Horse Racing TV, is a television-based multimedia network dedicated to equine sports. HRTV’s programming features horseracing from U.S. and international racetracks, as well as a range of English and Western horse competitions, news, original programming and ocumentaries covering the world of horse sports. The live stream of HRTV is available on a subscription basis to high-speed Internet users worldwide. In the US, the HRTV television network has limited distribution, is available via telco, cable and satellite, and is available in only some 19 million homes. HRTV is available world-wide through the internet streaming and video-on-demand site. It is owned by Stronach Group and Churchill Downs Incorporated.
Programming on HRTV includes regular and special stakes races from Santa Anita Park, Churchill Downs (home of The Kentucky Derby), Gulfstream Park, Arlington Park, the New York Racing Association, Pimlico Race Course (home of The Preakness Stakes), and numerous other top U.S. and international racetracks. Commentators in the racing industry, and programs such as Pursuit of the Crown and Race Day America, keep horse owners, trainers, jockeys and handicappers informed.
HRTV also features the significant events in the world of English riding, such as showjumping, dressage, eventing and carriage driving. Coverage includes the Aachen World Horse Festival, FEI World Cup Jumping and Dressage events and the Horses in the Sun (HITS) final $1,000,000 Grand Prix of Showjumping. Western horse-related programming includes rodeos sanctioned by the Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association, National Reining Horse Association events from around the world, US- based Cutting, Roping, and Barrel Racing competitions, and America’s most popular horse activity, Trail Riding.
HRTV broadcasts live from Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, California.
It is available through Dish Network, Verizon, AT&T U-Verse and Insight Cable, as well as select systems controlled by Cox Communications, Comcast, Charter and independent cable operators including Armstrong, Blue Ridge Cable, Broadstripe, CMA Associates, Eagle Broadband, GCI, Metrocast, New Wave Communications, RCN and Service Electric.
