Hordfast

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hordfast is a planned road project between Bergen and Stord in Norway.

There are three options under discussion for the project. The Austevoll option is considered the most useful possibility, but it is the most expensive as it requires two tunnels. Other options would route the road through Tysnes or Fusa. The project is not finalised, but it is hoped construction will commence around 2020. The road will cost between 6 and 11 billion Norwegian krone.

This will be a part of the main road that will link Oslo - Kristiansand - Sandnes - Stavanger - Haugesund - Bergen.
