Hongyuan Airport (Chinese: 红原机场) is an airport under construction in Hongyuan County in the Ngawa Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture of Sichuan Province, China. It is located 43 kilometers southwest of the county seat, and 128 kilometers from Barkam, the prefecture capital. Construction started on May 18, 2011 with a total investment of 787 million yuan.[1]
Facilities
The airport will have a 3,600 meter runway (class 4C) and a 3,600 square-meter terminal building. It is projected to handle 350,000 passengers annually by 2020.[1]
