Motorcycles were the first Honda products sold and it was not until 1973 that cars were sold in Canada.

The first zone office was established in Montreal, Quebec in 1972, and a regional office in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. The next in Richmond, British Columbia in 1984. The first car dealership (7702) was opened by German entrepreneur Siegfried (Sigi) Bauer in downtown Montreal followed by a second dealership in Laval (7703).
