Home run derby

A home run derby is a batting competition in baseball to see who can hit the most home runs.[citation needed] In the 1960s there was Home Run Derby TV series featuring the competition.[citation needed] Amusement parks, entertainment centers and batting cages sometimes offer a home run derby type competition.[citation needed] It is also a game played by young people.[citation needed] Beginning in 1985, Major League Baseball began hosting an annual Home Run Derby (Major League Baseball).[citation needed]
