Home run derby

A home run derby is a batting competition in baseball to see who can hit the most home runs.^{[citation needed]} In the 1960s there was Home Run Derby TV series featuring the competition.^{[citation needed]} Amusement parks, entertainment centers and batting cages sometimes offer a home run derby type competition.^{[citation needed]} It is also a game played by young people.^{[citation needed]} Beginning in 1985, Major League Baseball began hosting an annual Home Run Derby (Major League Baseball).^{[citation needed]}
