Hoechang-gun is a county in South Pyongan Province, North Korea.
History
Before 1945, most of the territory that now comprises Hoechang was part of neighboring Songchon county. In 1952 four townships from Songchon (Sungin-myon, Kuryong-myon, Rungjung-myon, and Taegok-myon) and one from Koksan (Pongmyong-myon) were split from their counties and merged to form Hoechang County.
Administrative districts
The district is split into one up (town), four rodongjagu (worker's districts, abbreviated as gu), and seventeen ri (villages).
