Hlegu[1] (Burmese: လှည်းကူး, pronounced: [l̥ɛ́ɡú]) is a small city in Yangon Division, Burma (Myanmar) about 45 km northeast of Yangon.[2] It is located on both sides of the Ngamoyeik River (Ngamoyeik Chaung).[3] Hlegu is the administrative seat of Hlegu Township.
