Hitsugi no Chaika (棺姫のチャイカ) is a Japanese light novel series written by Ichirō Sakaki and illustrated by Namaniku ATK. As of January 2014, eight volumes have been published by Fujimi Shobo under their Fujimi Fantasia Bunko imprint. It has been adapted into two manga series. An anime adaptation was announced on July 2013.[1]

Characters

Toru Acura (トール・アキュラ Tōru Akyura)
Saboteur from the village of Acura. After the downfall of the Gazu Empire and peace is restored, he lost his way of life.
Chaika Trabant (チャイカ・トラバント Chaika Torabanto)
A young mage who lugs around a giant coffin. She excels in high-precision spells. She's also sensitive about the thickness of her eyebrows.
Akari Acura (アカリ・アキュラ Akari Akyura)
Toru's sister who's unrelated by blood. She respects and is fond her brother to a radical degree, so much that it's dangerous. As with Toru, she can use the Iron-Blood Transformation.
