Himayatnagar is a densely populated part of the southern Indian city of Hyderabad. Himayatnagar developed into the residential and commercial frontier of the city around the mid 1960s. It adjoins the suburbs of Narayanguda, Basheerbagh and Hyderguda. A noted center, Urdu Hall is located here. It has been surveyed to be most literate locality in Andhra Pradesh, with over 80% literacy rate.
