Hexaplex nigritus is a species of sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Muricidae, the murex snails or rock snails. It is commonly known as the black murex shell.[1]

Habitat

Found in the intertidal waters.

The black murex shell is commonly found in the Gulf of California
