Hemant Lamba

Hemant Lamba is a specialist in renewable energy enterprises, particularly solar pv, based in Auroville, Tamil Nadu, India. He was the recipient of a 2004 Ashden Award for Sustainable Energy (www.ashden.org), often known in India as a 'Green Oscar'. He plays a key role in the Ashden India Collective (http://www.ashden.org/india-renewable-energy-collective), a group of Indian winners seeking to promote enabling policies for small scale sustainable energy in India. Lamba is arguably one of the more influential promoters of small scale renewables in India.
