Heliamphora tatei (after George Henry Hamilton Tate) is a species of marsh pitcher plant endemic to Cerro Duida, Cerro Huachamacari and Cerro Marahuaca in Venezuela. It is closely related to H. neblinae and the latter was at one point considered a variety of H. tatei.[1] Heliamphora tatei is noted for its stem-forming growth habit, a habit exhibited by only a very few species within the genus, including its close relative H. neblinae.
