Helgeland Hospital

Helgeland Hospital is part of Helse Nord RHF, and consists of a number of centres which since 1 January 2002 are run as one specialist health service.

The hospital has centres in Mo i Rana, Mosjøen and Sandnessjøen. It also runs a rehabilitation centre in Sømna with a somatic and psychiatric polyclinic in Brønnøysund

The hospital director is Jan Erik Furunes.

Helgeland Hospital buildings in Rana

The medical director of Helgeland Hospital is Fred Mürer, the head of information is Randi Erlandsen. Hospital director in Mosjøen is Jan Inge Pettersen, in Rana, Per Martin Knutsen and in Sandnessjøen, Ivar Johan Kirkfjell.

The hospital buildings in Rana, before 2002 known as Rana Hospital, is located on Sjøførsgata 36 on Selfors, a village 4 km east of Mo i Rana. Rana doctors' surgery is located on the first floor of the hospital. On 1 October 2009, the former doctors' surgery for Hemnes municipality (Skolegt 3, Hemnesberget) was closed down and combined with Rana doctors' surgery.
