Helga Mathilde Meyer (12 February 1942 – 24 March 2000)[2] was a German opera singer. She taught voice at Mary Washington College for many years; in 1977 she was a singer in the opera of Salzburg.[3][4] Meyer died at age 58 of colon cancer[5] in Arlington, Virginia. Her daughter is actress Sandra Bullock. She was married to John W. Bullock, who was a soldier and a teacher.[citation needed]
