Heavy Lift Helicopters, Inc was a helicopter operating company based in Apple Valley, California, United States. Heavy Lift operated a fleet of CH-54 Tarhe and CH-53 Sea Stallion helicopters in aerial Lift Services and aerial firefighting. In addition Heavy Lift operated a FAA Repair Station out of Apple Valley Airport.[1] On October 12, 2004 Heavy Lift Helicopters became the first civilian operator of the "Fire Stallion", a former US Marine Corps CH-53 Sea Stallion converted for fire fighting duties [2] Due to poor financial management the company has now gone bust, the fate of its aircraft is unknown.
