Recent improvements

In recent months, Sean’s Pond has been extended with a second pond, following on from the original via a small passage.

Sledging Controversy

In recent years, the sledge run that has been valued by Heaton residents for generations[1] has been built on with dangerous benches to deter sledging, much to the disappointment of children.[2] A local resident described the erection of benches as a "despotic" act.[3]
