Healing School A Science Academy is a co-educational, specialist academy school located on Low Road in the village of Healing, North East Lincolnshire, England.

Admissions

It has a roll of approximately 800, serving the age group of 1116 years, with students from both locally and from nearby villages. The school day lasts from 8:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.. The school is non-denominational and has no religious affiliation.

Academic performance

In 2009 Ofsted gave Healing School grade 1 (outstanding) in all categories,[1] the only Comprehensive school in the United Kingdom to achieve this.[citation needed]

In previous years, Healing School football team has won both national and European tournaments, including winning the PlayStation 5 aside European Championship Competition and playing at Old Trafford in the final of the Manchester United Soccer Skills Competition.

It also once entered a winning team into the North East Lincolnshire Inter-Schools Quiz League.

Healing School Council has recently been officially commended by the Speaker of the House of Commons, John Bercow MP, for their work on recycling and sustainability.[citation needed]

Healing School was one of only 64 nationwide to have been given the Secondary Geography Quality Mark (SGQM) by the Geographical Association (GA) in October 2013.
