Healing School A Science Academy is a co-educational, specialist academy school located on Low Road in the village of Healing, North East Lincolnshire, England.
Admissions
It has a roll of approximately 800, serving the age group of 11–16 years, with students from both locally and from nearby villages. The school day lasts from 8:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.. The school is non-denominational and has no religious affiliation.
Academic performance
It gets the best GCSE results in North East Lincolnshire LEA which are well above the England average.[citation needed] It does not have a sixth form. Most schools in Grimsby are under-performing, so the school does atypically well.
Past achievements
In 2007 Healing School entered and won several awards in the Rock Challenge competition, with a performance called "Global Shock".[citation needed]
In 2009 Ofsted gave Healing School grade 1 (outstanding) in all categories,[1] the only Comprehensive school in the United Kingdom to achieve this.[citation needed]
In previous years, Healing School football team has won both national and European tournaments, including winning the PlayStation 5 aside European Championship Competition and playing at Old Trafford in the final of the Manchester United Soccer Skills Competition.
It also once entered a winning team into the North East Lincolnshire Inter-Schools Quiz League.
Healing School Council has recently been officially commended by the Speaker of the House of Commons, John Bercow MP, for their work on recycling and sustainability.[citation needed]
Healing School was one of only 64 nationwide to have been given the Secondary Geography Quality Mark (SGQM) by the Geographical Association (GA) in October 2013.

Healing School has a technical team that provides support for school productions and activities.
