Hayden Allen (born 10 November 1979) is a New Zealand professional basketball player. He attended King's High School in Dunedin.
Allen debuted as a teenager for the Otago Nuggets in 1998 and has played every season over the past 14 years. He enjoyed his best season in 2001, when he averaged 20 points a game and was named in the All-Star Five. His first championship title came the following year in 2002 with the Waikato Titans. 2012 was his second season with the Auckland NBL franchise as he previously played for the Stars in 2009. For 2013, Allen returned home to play for the Nuggets again.
In 2012, Allen earned his first Tall Blacks selection, finally following in the footsteps of his father Glen who represented New Zealand in 1973.[1]
