Havelterberg is a town in the Dutch province of Drenthe. It lies on the border of the municipalities Meppel and Westerveld, and lies about 21 km west of Hoogeveen.

In 2001, the town of Havelterberg had 156 inhabitants. The built-up area of the town was 0.069 km², and contained 60 residences.[1] The statistical area "Havelterberg", which also can include the surrounding countryside, has a population of around 220.[2]
