Hass, Syria

Hass (Arabic: حاس) is a Syrian town administratively belonging to Idlib Governorate and Ma'arrat al-Numan District. Hass has an altitude of 630 meters. It has a population of 15,000. Hass is located on an ancient Byzantine dead city, and is surrounded by some of the most important Dead Cities, such as Serjilla, Shanshrah, and al Bara and Kafr Nabl. Hass is famous for its olive trees, and Hass is surrounded with historical sites.
