Hashemabad (Persian: هاشم اباد, also Romanized as Hāshemābād; Kurdish: Hêşmava)[1] is a village in Margavar Rural District, Silvaneh District, Urmia County, West Azerbaijan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 1,024, in 184 families.[2]

All the people of the village are Kurds and speak Kurdish. Their main occupation is farming and cattle raising. A river called Barandoz Chay is running by the village. The villagers are Sunni Muslims.
