Hartwell is a village in Henry County, Missouri, United States. The population was 16 at the 2010 census.

Geography

Hartwell is located at 38°26′6″N 93°56′3″W / 38.43500°N 93.93417°W / 38.43500; -93.93417 (38.434925, -93.934126)[5].

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 0.48 square miles (1.24 km2), all of it land.[1]

2010 census

As of the census[2] of 2010, there were 16 people, 4 households, and 4 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 33.3 inhabitants per square mile (12.9 /km2). There were 5 housing units at an average density of 10.4 per square mile (4.0 /km2). The racial makeup of the CDP was 100.0% White.

There were 4 households of which 50.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 75.0% were married couples living together, and 25.0% had a female householder with no husband present. 0.0% of all households were made up of individuals. The average household size was 4.00 and the average family size was 4.00.

The median age in the CDP was 34 years. 25% of residents were under the age of 18; 18.8% were between the ages of 18 and 24; 12.6% were from 25 to 44; 37.6% were from 45 to 64; and 6.3% were 65 years of age or older. The gender makeup of the CDP was 50.0% male and 50.0% female.

As of the census[3] of 2000, there were 16 people, 5 households, and 3 families residing in the village. The population density was 33.6 people per square mile (12.9/km²). There were 5 housing units at an average density of 10.5/sq mi (4.0/km²). The racial makeup of the village was 93.75% White, 6.25% from other races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 6.25% of the population.

There were 5 households out of which 60.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 60.0% were married couples living together, and 40.0% were non-families. 40.0% of all households were made up of individuals and 20.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 3.20 and the average family size was 4.67.

In the village the population was spread out with 50.0% under the age of 18, 6.3% from 18 to 24, 31.3% from 25 to 44, 6.3% from 45 to 64, and 6.3% who were 65 years of age or older.
