Origin
The Harsana/Harshana subclan is said to have taken its name from a famous king named Harish Chandra ruling under Pratiharas, near Jaisalmer. Harish Chandra was also called as "Harshu" and Harsha. After his name this clan was called Harishwane or Harshane which later corrupted to Harsana.
