Harem District

Harem District (Arabic: منطقة حارم; locally pronounced ḥērem) is a district (mantiqah) of the Idlib Governorate in Syria. At the 2004 Census it had a population of 175,482.[1] The centre of the district is the city of Harem.

Divisions

The district of Harem is divided into six sub-districts or Nāḥiyas (population according to 2004 official census):

  • Harem nahiyah (ناحية حارم): population 12,894.[2]
  • Al-Dana nahiyah (ناحية الدانا): population 60,058.[3]
  • Salqin nahiyah (ناحية سلقين): population 47,939.[4]
  • Kafr Takharim nahiyah (ناحية كفر تخاريم): population 14,772.[5]
  • Qurqina nahiyah (ناحية قورقينا): population 12,552.[6]
  • Armanaz nahiyah (ناحية أرمناز): population 27,267.[7]
