Hard maple

Hard maple is the wood yielded by Acer saccharum in its wider sense (i.e. Sugar maple & Black maple). It is a favorite for floors, bowling alleys, furniture, and electric guitar necks. The weight per cubic metre is roughly 740 kg.[1]
