Hanwell (2006 pop.: 3,812) is a Canadian suburban community in York County, New Brunswick on Route 640.

Hanwell is both a community and local service district immediately southwest of Fredericton and functions primarily as a suburb/exurb for that city.

Formerly a farming community, two large residential subdivisions were constructed in Hanwell in the 1970s. Hanwell is the location of Kingswood Park, a large entertainment centre and golf course.
