Hamriyah Port

Hamriyah Port is the collective name for a town, deep water seaport and ancillary facilities located in the Hamriyah Free Zone in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates.

Under the rule of the Sharjah since an invasion in the 1960s, it used to be independently ruled by the Al-Shamsi Tribe. The port is currently administered by the Department of Seaports and Customs, Government of Sharjah.

The port is currently used as a free trade zone for companies and a center for export and reexport to India and far east. Principal deepwater port activities include petrochemical exports, general cargo and two container terminals with alongside berth depths of 14 metres.^[1] An inner harbour with berth depths of between five and seven metres provides supporting services include ship repairs, dry docks and minor ship building.^[1]
