Halsema Highway

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Halsema Highway (also known Baguio-Bontoc Road or Mountain Trail) is a two- to four-lane highway that stretches from Baguio City to Bontoc, Mountain Province. It is the highest altitude highway in the Philippines. Its length is about 150 km from Baguio city. The road also leads to Sagada, which is 29 km farther from the junction. The road is not well maintained. It is slippery during rainy season. Its builder Eusebius Julius Halsema was named after him. It is one of the ten most dangerous roads in the world.[citation needed][1]
