History

Halogen TV was an American cable network that launched at midnight on October 24, 2009, replacing i-Lifetv. The channel had over 14 million households[2] nationwide with a mixture of original and exclusively licensed content including comedies, dramas, documentaries and magazine shows.

Halogen was available in both standard-definition and high-definition. The channel launched in HD on June 21, 2010.[3] AT&T Uverse added the channel in HD on August 2, 2010.[4]

Halogen had also launched a Video on Demand platform in over 7 million homes on January 1, 2010. This service was acquired by Participant Media in 2012 and continued with Pivot TV.[5]
