Hagia Sophia means either "Holy Wisdom" or "Saint Sophia" (Ἁγία Σοφία, Agia Sophia in Greek, Sancta Sophia in Latin, Ayasofya in Turkish). "The Holy Wisdom of God" is a name for the Second Person of the Trinity.[1]
