H Centauri

H Centauri (H Cen), is a star located in the constellation Centaurus. H Centaurus is also known as HD 122409 , and HR 4913. The star is located at Right Ascension 12h 57 m 4.4 sec and Declination -51 deg 11 arcmin 55 arcsec.
H Centauri is an B8V Dwarf star with an effective temperature of 11000 Kelvin. It has an apparent visual magnitude of +5.16, and an absolute visual magnitude of -.667. It is located 147 parsecs, (480 light years) from the sun and has a mass of 3.8 solar masses. H Centauri is a suspected triple star system, and is a long period irregular variable star.
