HD 180450 is a 6th magnitude star in the constellation Lyra, approximately 1,400 light years away from Earth. It is a red giant star of the spectral type M0III, meaning it has a surface temperature of about 3,500 kelvins. It is much larger and brighter, yet cooler, than our Sun. It is also a star in a star cluster.[1]
