HD 153950 is a F type star that is hotter and larger than our Sun. It is located in the southern constellation Scorpius. It is a 7th magnitude star at a distance of about 188 light years from Earth.[2]
Planetary system
In October 2008, a planet of the star was discovered. This object was detected using the radial velocity method by search programs conducted using the HARPS spectrograph.[3]
