The Gympie Music Muster is an Australian country music festival held in Gympie, Queensland. It was started as a community fundraiser in 1982 [1] and has grown to a six-day festival attracting musicians from Australia and elsewhere. The 2011 Gympie Muster attracted a crowd of 60,000.[2]

The music festival is sited in the Amamoor Forest Reserve.[1] In 2012, a fully equipped field hospital was staffed in an effort to ensure safety and deal with medical emergencies.[3] St John's Ambulance also provide medical care from a number of on-site tents.

The non-profit community-based festival raises funds for charity and attracts around 25,000 fans to listen to stars and new talents alike. As well as mainstream Australian country the event showcases the breadth of contemporary Australian country: from folk and bush poetry, to alternative country.[1]
