Gymnothorax rueppellii is a moray eel found in coral reefs in the Pacific and Indian oceans.[1] It was first named by McClelland in 1844,[1] and is commonly known as the Banded moray, Banded reef-eel, Rüppell's moray, Rüppell's moray eel, Black barred eel, Yellow-headed moray eel, or the Yellow-headed moray.[2]
