Gymnodoris is a genus of sea slugs, dorid nudibranchs, shell-less marine gastropod molluscs in the family Gymnodorididae. [2]

Gymnodoris is the type genus for the family Gymnodorididae.

Remark: This genus was placed in family Polyceridae in Macnae, W. & Kalk, M. (1958)
