The Guntur-Macherla section is on Repalle-Bibinagar branch line. It belongs to South Central Railway of Guntur division.
History
The Guntur-Macherla section was opened in 1930.[1] It was a Metre gauge line earlier. Later it was to coverted Broad gauge. This line was used during the construction of Nagarjuna Sagar Dam.
Route
This route starts from Guntur which passes through Nallapadu,Piduguralla,Satennapalle and Nadikudi.This them Section joins Nadikudi-Bibinagar section.
