Gumniska [ɡumˈniska] (German Silzkeim) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Barciany, within Kętrzyn County, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, in northern Poland, close to the border with the Kaliningrad Oblast of Russia.[1] It lies approximately 3 kilometres (2 mi) south-east of Barciany, 13 km (8 mi) north of Kętrzyn, and 75 km (47 mi) north-east of the regional capital Olsztyn.
Before 1945 the area was part of Germany (East Prussia).
