Gulin Park

Gulin Park (古林公园) is a park in Nanjing. It covers an area of 400 acres.[1] There are many temples and ancient architectures in the park. Eight Centre Court(八景阁) is the highest point in the park. On the court, you can see the 303 m television transmission tower, all scenic of the park and the large platform base.

Location

GuLin Park is located in Nanjing, the ancient north Qingliangshan, Huju Road west. Near the Nanjing Arts Institute (南京艺术学院).[2]

Scenery

Enter from main entrance, in the first sight you will see the Azalea slope (杜鹃坡). Every spring in march, all azaleas are blooming gorgeous. Red as fire, yellow like gold, mix in the green leaves. So, many visitors come here to enjoy the spring. If you enter from anther entrance, you will see the rose garden. Rose garden planted several hundreds of roses. Eight Centre Court is in the park center, and it covers 575 square meters. The Court has three floors, and the third floor is for visitors sighting.

Other Information

There is a swimming pool in the park, it opens when summer comes. There are also many stone table, people can barbecue by themselves.[3] Every spring, the GuLin park will held "plum exhibition", more than 3000 strains of plum will be displayed, and thousands of people come to enjoy the beautiful scene. Gulin Park's ticket now is ten yuan per person. It is expected in 2015 to be free.[4]
