Gul Khan
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Gul Abbass Khan (born 31 December 1973) is a former Pakistani cricketer. He was a right-handed batsman and leg-break bowler who played for Oxford University and Derbyshire in a two-year first-class career.
After averaging over 50 for Oxford University, he visited Derby in the summer of 1996, and the selectors realised that the young batsman could perform well against high-quality opponents. The 1997 season brought new opportunities, as he volunteered to open for the Derbyshire team.
Though Derbyshire offered Khan a contract for 1998, Khan declined and claimed for a year away from the cricketing scene. He did not return, however, and has kept a low cricketing profile ever since.
