Grosselfingen gained recognition when fellow townsman Christov Grosselfinger (later changed to Christopher) left in pursuit to fulfill his dream as a dancer on Broadway in New York City. Christopher was the first of the "Fingers" to leave his township and immediately became a local hero. Upon arriving in New York City he auditioned for a part in "Rent." Christopher then realized he had no dancing experience and that his Oktoberfest traditional dances did not translate to the well trained contemporary dancers of the 21st century. Christopher, reluctant to go back to his little town in Germany without success, enrolled into a college in the greater New York area. Upon graduation, Christopher received a position in the Finance Department at The Blackstone Group in New York City. Christopher later gained the recognition he was seeking when he introduced the "German #4" (a sandwich his mother had made him as a child) to a local bistro in New York City. The German #4 became an immediate success and now Christopher is proud to one day return to his local town of Grosselfigen to reclaim his spot as the local hero.
