Grigory Irmovich Novak (Russian: Григорий Ирмович Новак, March 5, 1919 July 10, 1980) was a Ukrainian weightlifter, world champion, and Olympic medalist, who competed for the Soviet Union.

He was Jewish,[1] and was born in Chernobyl, Ukrainian SSR.

Novak became world champion in 1946. In 1947 he won the world light heavyweight championships.[1] He received a silver medal at the 1952 Summer Olympics in Helsinki.[2]

In his career, he set 56 world weightlifting records.[1]
