Gregg Foreman is an American musician and DJ born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.[1] Foreman gained recognition originally as the front man of The Delta 72[2][3][4][1] a band that channeled post punk rock sensibilities with 60’s British Invasion R&B to create a frenetic and honest style.[5] His live gigs with The Delta 72 have been characterized by his onstage energetic performances and James Brown-like moves.[3][5] He's also known to be a good friend of Anton Newcombe of The Brian Jonestown Massacre.
After The Delta 72 disbanded in 2001, Foreman established a career as a popular deejay in hometown Philadelphia and still spins in his resident city, LA.[5] Foreman's sets span a range from soul music to post-punk, girl group sounds and psychedelic.[6]
He joined Cat Power[3][7] in 2007, now elevated to musical director;[5] is currently also in Pink Mountaintops[3] which is a project founded by Stephen McBean from Black Mountain; in psychedelic post punk band The Meek,[4][8] and part time member of the slow-burning psyche rock band The Black Ryder.[3][3]
