Greg Mort

Greg Mort (born March 22, 1952) is an American artist and amateur astronomer whose paintings have been the subject of numerous exhibitions. His portraits, still lifes, and landscape paintings are represented in public collections, including the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum, Corcoran Gallery of Art, Smithsonian American Art Museum, Vatican Observatory, Brandywine River Museum, Farnsworth Art Museum, and the Academy Art Museum in Easton, Maryland, which was just gifted the David H. Hickman Collection of 38 of Mort's paintings.[1]

Private collections in which his work is represented include those of Bill Clinton, Hillary Rodham Clinton, Al Gore, Robin Williams and Carl Sagan et al.[1]

Mort splits his time between the historic Quaker village of Ashton, Maryland and Fieldstone Castle. Built by Russell W. Porter in Port Clyde, Maine,[2] the Castle is located near the Marshall Point Light.[3]

In 2007, Voyages: Exploring the Art of Greg Mort, written by Greg Mort and edited by Thomas Y. Canby, was published by Sea Glass Publishers.[4][5]
