Greg Mackey (20 October 1961) is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer of the 1980s and '90s, playing at club level for South Sydney Rabbitohs, Illawarra Steelers, Paris Châtillon XIII, Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs, Warrington (twice), and Hull, as a Fullback, Wing, Centre, Five-eighth/Stand-off, Halfback/Scrum-half, or Lock/Loose forward, i.e. number 1, 2 or 5, 3 or 4, 6, 7, or 13, and was Captain of Hull during the 1990–91, and 1991–92 seasons.[1]
Playing career
Greg Mackey played Stand-off/Five-eighth, was captain, and was man of the match winning the Harry Sunderland Trophy in Hull's 14-4 victory over Warrington in the 1990–91 Rugby League Premiership final at Old Trafford, Manchester on Sunday 12 May 1991.[2]
Mackey played in Warrington's 0-24 defeat to Australia on the 1994 Kangaroo tour of Great Britain and France at Wilderspool Stadium, Warrington on Wednesday 9 November 1994.
