Greg LaRocque (born February 24, 1954)[1] is an American comic book illustrator.

Born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, LaRocque worked as an assistant teacher at the Professional Institute of Art while still a teenager.[2] He started his art career in the advertising field.[3] His comics career began in 1980 with Marvel Comics, credits include Marvel Team-Up starring Spider-Man, Web of Spider-Man, The Avengers and Power Man and Iron Fist. After moving to DC Comics, LaRocque became known for his work illustrating the Paul Levitz-penned, Baxter Paper-format issues of Legion of Super-Heroes.

LaRocque became prominent in the 1990s for his work on the Mark Waid-written issues of The Flash. A career highlight was redesigning the Flash costume to its current incarnation.[3]

Exiled Studio has released LaRocque's creator owned material in the 3 issue mini-series 'The Exiled', followed up by CryBaby, Exiled Studio's first color book. The CryBaby story arc was concluded in the 80 page graphic novel "Extinction". LaRocque's latest work is 'the Dreaming', also from Exiled Studio.

LaRocque's work among the independent companies include London Night Studio's, Peregrine Entertainment, Realm Press, Catfish Comics and Avatar. In 2010 he helped launch the revival of Dave Cockrum's Futurian's with a cover for David Miller Studio. Along with his comic work LaRocque is available for commissions of his fantasy illustrations. LaRocque's fantasy art was exhibited at 'Gallery Provocateur' in Chicago Illinois to coincide with his appearance at the 2010 Chicago ComicCon.

LaRocque and his wife Rose have three children, a daughter, Charisse, and two sons, Justin and Ben LaRocque.[2]
