Greg "Camo" Cameron (born 10 April 1988 in Dundee) is a Scottish footballer who plays for Scottish League One club Brechin City. He has represented Scotland up to and including under-21 level.

Domestic career

Cameron progressed through the Dundee United youth program, making his début midway through the 2004-05 season. In October 2006, his progress saw him sign a new contract, taking him up to 2010.[1] In April 2007, Cameron scored his first goals for United, netting twice in a 4–2 win away to Aberdeen.

In late October 2007, having played twice for United weeks earlier, Cameron joined Partick Thistle on a month's loan,[2] reuniting him with former manager Ian McCall. After playing three league matches, Cameron returned to Tannadice, moving on loan to St. Johnstone in January 2008.[3] After just six games, however, Cameron suffered a knee injury, ending his season. Featuring just three times for Dundee United in the 2007-08 season, Cameron failed to feature in any first team match day squad in 2008-09 and was sent on loan to Shamrock Rovers until June. With one year of his contract remaining, Cameron returned to United,[4] although he joined Notts County on trial in August,[5] which failed to lead to a move.[6] Cameron subsequently had another short period out on loan to Raith Rovers during December 2009 and returned to make his first United appearance in over two years, featuring as a late substitute in the club's Scottish Cup win over St Johnstone.

In June 2013 Cameron signed for Brechin City.[7]

International career

Cameron was part of the Scotland under-19 team who lost in the final of the 2006 UEFA European Under-19 Football Championship. He was called up to the squad for Round 1 of the UEFA Under-19 Championship as captain, and played two warm-up games for Scotland under-20's as preparation for the 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup, although later missed the tournament due to injury. Cameron went on to make his Scotland under-21 début in October 2007 against the Netherlands.
