The greater Congo shrew (Congosorex polli) is a species of mammal in the Soricidae family. It is endemic of Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Habitat
Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests of Congo. It is currently losing habitat to deforestation.
Diet
The greater Congo shrew eats a wide variety of fruits and a few number of insects including ants.
Reproduction
The greater Congo shrew is in the class of mammals, meaning it gives birth to live young that are nursed on milk. It can give birth to around 4-5 young.
